Tourists flock to Shetland from all over the world to see its amazing collection of wildlife. The sea bird colonies are amongst the biggest in Europe and give a spectacular display every spring/summer. There are also otters, ponies and much, much more.

Being an island Shetland obviously has a very close relationship with the sea. Fishing plays a large role in our local economy an sailing is a hobby enjoyed by people the length and breadth of the isles.
